Muriel W. Reed BSN RN
Co-Founder/Director of Nurses
career has included extensive teaching experience and clinical practice. It has spanned over 50 years. She has served
as nurse manager, program coordinator, mentor, innovator, and entrepreneur. She has extensive experience in curriculum
development, public speaking and many years of public health. In 2000 Mrs. Reed and Mrs. Oldham started Nurse Concepts
Inc., in an effort to continue sharing knowledge and expertise. She never gives up and is consistantly working to improve
health and safety for the children in out of home child care. Concurrently, between 2000 and 2011, Mrs. Reed has continued
her college teaching career along with continuing the growth of Nurse Concepts Inc.
Janice S. Oldham RN
brings 48 years of nursing experience to NCI. She has extensive clinical experience including, primary care,
teaching on the college level, and 20 years of public health. As an experienced nurse educator, Mrs. Oldham has
developed certification units in the areas of health and safety in child care, taught management of chronic
diseases in another area of nursing. She has experience in utilization management and Medicare set a side writing. In
addition to teaching and writing, Mrs. Oldham has experience in pharmacology research, health coaching, and in course
design for a web-enhanced on-line course. Together with Mrs. Reed, in 2000, developed Nurse Concepts Inc.
